One Down

My peanut lost her first tooth today. I told her that she's not allowed to turn 6 years old, but she was so excited over her first loose tooth that she was doing the happy dance. See, her birthday is in a couple of weeks, and this little milestone in her life is HUGE to her, because it's proof that in fact she is growing, and Daddy really can't make time stop or go backwards.....
Darnit. Sigh. Oh well. It was a good run while it lasted. :) Oh, and she thought this picture with a giant tree branch would really make the perfect shot.

On the flipside, my boy won his first ball game tonight. Nobody in his team could believe it. They were looking at eachother in awe, saying, "Hey. We Won?" and "This is so aaawwwweee-sssooommme! On the way home we were telling him how much better his swing was looking and this was his reply,

"I just thought I was like the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz when he was all rusted out. Every time I swung I was thinking, Yep, just a little more oil. Just a little more oil."

Whatever works, right?

There's nothing like a smile with a missing tooth. So cute! Congrats to Logan. I love his mentality. I am going to share that one with the boys. A little more oil... How's the summer going?
